Gillum 9' 3/2 "Salmon" marked 1-817. It is from his 3rd
generation (and best) series, built after the early 1950s; the
reel seat is die stamped (marked H.S. GILLUM, MAKER).
It has the original tube and bag/sock.

It has copper wraps with black
and pale yellow tipping at the winding check and male ferrules.
The
cane is an amber color.
The ferrules retain 100% of their finish.
The
grip has not been compromised in any way but there is a very slight
bit of ridging which I feel is negligible.
This rod and it is 100% original.
The mid and tip sections are all
marked 1-817 at the male ferrule end and the butt is marked at the
female ferrule.
The grip is a 7" moderate dry fly grip and has
an uplocking reel seat.
The filler is African mahogany.
The Style is
marked "Salmon", weight appears to be 6 oz, and length 9'.
